Key to Heaven Kingdom Ministries - Pastor Mary S. Smith, Founder
Our Vision
To gather the families and the community sharing the good news of Christ, that they may be led of the Holy Spirit to give their lives to Christ and yield themselves to be filled by the Holy Ghost; to educate the people of God about the Word of God, so that they can become knowledgeable about whom they serve and desire More of Him, and be freed from the bondage of tradition and religiosity, enabling them as believers to worship God in Spirit and in Truth; to help the “least of these” in the community and foreign fields by way of missionary services to assist in curing the plight of hunger and homelessness; to give young people a place in His Kingdom where they can grow in the Lord Jesus.
Our History
This Ministry was birthed out of a "Vision" given to Pastor Mary Sharlene Smith from the Lord.  She was instructed to “Go like Abraham” and by her obedience, God blesses The Key to Heaven abundantly each day.
We gathered at the home of Pastor Mary’s wonderful parents the Deaconess Suzanne Smith and the late Minister Albert Smith, Sr., along with her sisters and brother.  She presented the Vision and asked if anyone was willing to follow her as she follows Christ. The response was a Unanimous YES!
Out of this gathering, the late Minister Albert Smith, Sr., (11.30.36 - 3.13.07) became the first Associate Minister of Key to Heaven “The Church” Christian Ministries.
On February 5, 2005, our first place of worship was held at the Children's Place Day Care Center in the Multipurpose Room, where we held our Sunday Morning Worship services, Sunday School and Tuesday evening Bible Study classes.
In 2006 the school was no longer available for the Key to have services, but because of God's love and people who believed in Pastor Mary's vision, our Overseer, Pastor Bonnie Hunter opened the doors of FCOM and we were able to continue on in service @ 9AM in their edifice.
A few months later, we were given we were blessed to move over to Lively Stone (renamed Kingdom Harvest Ministries) under the leadership of Pastor Floyd Nelson, II where we held our services @ 1:00PM each Sunday.
The Ministry has faced many challenges, but with God’s anointed hand we are still able to plant seed and see the fruits of our labor. Today, we are giving all of the Glory to our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ for He has done unto us great things and Holy, Holy is His Name.
On March 13, 2007, we lost one of our Founding members & first Associate Minister, Minister Albert Smith, Sr. Rest in peace!
In April 2007, the Lord allowed us to begin worshiping in our own edifice at 1861 Brightseat Road, Landover, Maryland and at that time, God called the first daughter to the ministerial staff as Minister B. Kym Jackson who was licensed to preach the gospel and installed as Associate Minister.
In February 2008, Key to Heaven Kingdom Ministries, added a son to the Ministerial Staff as Minister Albert Smith, Jr.  He preached his initial sermon on Sunday, February 24, 2008.
Key to Heaven Kingdom Ministries ordained our first Elder, Elder Kym Jackson on Sunday, April 26, 2009.
On April 10, 2011, Missionary Marjorie Smith and Missionary Michele Bailey both preached their Initial Sermon's and were licensed as Evangelist in Lord's Kingdom.
We worshipped at the Arise Outreach Ministries in Capitol Heights, Maryland with our friend and brother in Christ, Apostle Julian M. Johnson, Sr., each Sunday morning at our 8:30am Sunday Mornings for five years.
As of, April 2013,we are now currently worshipping @ 3135 Pennsy Drive, Landover, Maryland 20785.
Pastor Mary is now standing strong in the Lord as a Vessel willing and able to do “ALL” that The Lord has called her to do as a Leader in the Kingdom.
So, it is today that we celebrate the works of God’s hands through Key to Heaven Kingdom Ministries and Pastor Mary S. Smith!  Nine years of giving God glory, Building One Kingdom, and making disciples of men.
